Assignment #9

Here is my updated model (without the helmet hidden for now).  I raised his stand a little bit so you can tell his body isn't hiding in the ground.

The dialogue is still: "'Hold still,' they said, 'it's for science,' they said.  I think I'll call my lawyer....Seriously, can someone give me a hand?  I need to contact PETA."  Sorry I don't have a recording yet, but I've timed it multiple times and it's under 10 seconds.

Everything except for the eyelids has joints.  I used blendshapes for the eyelids and some of the more specific mouth shapes.

This could be a "b," "m," or "p" shape.

I was going for "f" and "v" shapes here, but I'm not sure if the bottom lip should be rolled in that much.

Bingo the monkey hates everybody:

Assignment #8

Science lab monkey!

Here is my updated model.  So far he has joints that open and close his jaw, and rotate his head/neck/ears.  I spent forever trying to get clusters to work right on his eyebrows, but I may end up adding more joints and then working with blendshapes.

Modelling Assignment #7

My initial model for Sun Wukong (the monkey king).  I still need to model the inside of the mouth and figure out the hair.

Some initial dialog ideas:
"Sh! I'm busy." *tries to peel banana with lips, but it doesn't work* "I can't take it, it has been 500 years!  Whyyyyyy?!" (reference to his imprisonment for 5 centuries, but in this case he's just a head, and he gets no bananas)

I may take away his crown, and instead of Sun Wukong he would just be a lab monkey:
"'Lie down,' he said, 'for science,' he said, if I ever find that doctor I'm gonna BITE HIS FEET OFF!"
"'Lie down,' he said, 'for science,' he said, if I ever find that doctor, someone is getting pooed.  Yes I said pooed.  No it's just an expression."

I don't really know :(
